We are beginning my personal list of Top 20 songs that turn 40 years old today today with a song that I still like today, even if my wife didn’t really care for it (and yes, that is going to be another common theme throughout my countdowns, especially for a couple of songs to come). Still, it is a catchy tune that still is being played today, and has a nice little time signature change I always liked. I came to find out that 1979 was a tough year to find songs (1989 was a barn-burner collection of songs), especially since bands we’re all trying to do a disco song. Still, it’s a good song and a fun one to dance to. Coming in at #20 is Heart of Glass by Blondie.
